1. Background
Kangnas Wind Farm is committed to supporting sustainable socio-economic development initiatives within the communities in which it operates. As part of this commitment, Kangnas Wind Farm invites suitably qualified local organisations and entities operating within the Nama-Khoi Municipal area to submit proposals for the implementation of an Arts and Culture Youth Development Programme.
The programme aims to empower young people through creative expression, skills development, and community engagement while promoting local culture and heritage.
2. Objectives of the Programme
- Promote arts and cultural development among youth in the Nama-Khoi municipal area.
- Provide skills development opportunities in disciplines such as music, dance, drama, visual arts, or cultural heritage.
- Encourage youth participation in creative industries.
- Create pathways toward sustainable opportunities and employment where possible.
3. Scope of Work
- Design and implement an Arts and Culture Programme for local youth.
- Facilitate structured training sessions, workshops, and development activities.
- Demonstrate measurable community impact and youth engagement.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities for programme participants.
- Integrate one intern, funded and provided by Kangnas Wind Farm, into the programme.
4. Proposal Requirements
4.1 Organisational Information
- Organisation profile and background.
- Description of previous arts and culture initiatives implemented.
- Evidence of experience working with youth.
- Demonstration of impact from previous programmes.
4.2 Programme Proposal
- Programme description and objectives.
- Proposed activities and implementation plan.
- Target number of youth beneficiaries.
- Expected outcomes and community impact.
- A long-term sustainability plan.
4.3 Employment Opportunities
Applicants should indicate how the programme will contribute to skills development, income generation, or employment opportunities for participants.
4.4 Internship Component
The proposal must indicate how the intern provided by Kangnas Wind Farm will be integrated into the programme, mentored, and provided with meaningful work experience.
4.5 Budget
A detailed budget breakdown must be included, clearly indicating:
- Programme implementation costs
- Facilitation and training costs
- Materials and equipment
- Administration costs
- Any co-funding or additional funding sources (if applicable)

- Tax Compliance Status (SARS)
- B-BBEE certificate or affidavit
- Certified ID copies of directors or responsible persons
